Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is located just minutes from downtown Canmore, offering World-class cross country skiing in the winter and mountain biking and trail running in the summer. Golf on the Roof of the World – when the game of golf is played on a course carved out of original Rocky Mountain terrain.
Family skating enjoyment and local hockey for youth and adults are available at Canmore Recreation Centre. For the downhill and snowboarder, you don’t have to travel far to reach one of four World Class ski hills: Nakiska, Norquay, Sunshine Village or Lake Louise Ski Resort.
The Aquatics Centre at Elevation Place offers something for any age, 25 metre pool with eight lanes, waterslide, lazy river and a hot tub. A perfect place to relax after a hard workout in the 10,000 square foot climbing gym, weight room or some of the core fitness classes.
Cultural opportunities are numerous. Learn about our history at the Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre, Centennial Museum Society of Canmore, or The Avens Gallery, to name a few. Education is exceptional, with well-staffed and well equipped public schools. For higher education, a local campus of Bow Valley College is located in Canmore, training the next generation of professionals.
